Armed robbery

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an armed robbery on Monday, 19 December in the Meenan Square area of the city.

At approximately 6.45pm, a masked man, armed with a suspected firearm, entered a bookmakers premises and made off with a sum of cash.

No one was injured during this incident, however staff were left badly shaken.
