Armed robbery at Lisburn convenience store

A WOMAN has been left shaken after an armed robbery at a shop in Lisburn, on Wednesday evening.

The robber, who was armed with a knife, went a convenience store at Warren Park shortly before 7pm. He demanded cash from a female staff member before making off with money and cigarettes.

It is thought the man, who was wearing a khaki jacket, black hood and black baseball cap with white writing, dark coloured black and blue work trousers, may have approached and left the shop on a bicycle.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact them. The employee was not hurt during the robbery.
