Armed robbery in Creggan

A MASKED gunman has robbed a shop in Londonderry.

Detectives are investigating the robbery at a shop in Marlborough Road on Monday night (5th).

At approximately 8.20pm a masked man entered the premises and ordered a member of staff to hand over cash from the till.

The culprit is described as being of medium build and height with blue eyes. He was wearing a black zip top with gold stripes and black gloves.

He was also carrying a firearm. Anyone who was in the area and could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact Strand Road CID on 0845 600 8000.
