Armed robbery - witnesses sought

Police received a report at around 8pm that a man armed with a knife had entered commercial premises and demanded money.

The male is described as between 25-30 years of age, tall, thin and with dark hair. Police believe that he made off in the direction of Pennybridge with a quantity of scratch cards, but no cash.

No-one was injured during the incident but staff members were left considerably shaken, a police spokesperson said.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed anything or anyone who has any information to contact them at Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
