The court heard that on September 21 Roland was seen in the Glenfield Road with a piece of wood in his hand and a screwdriver in his pocket.

He claimed there was someone in his attic so he lifted the items and left his home.

On August 7 he made a 999 call claimed there were people banging on his door trying to get in. Police went to the area but did not see anyone. Later that evening he made another 999 call making the same allegation.

A solicitor for Roland said he had deep rooted issues borne out of alcohol misuse.
