District Master David Martin said: “We’re really looking forward to the Twelfth in Markethill. We expect it to be the usual great family day out and relaxing atmosphere.

“Last year was a huge success. We’re expecting everything to be calm, sensible and peaceful - I don’t see any reason why it should be otherwise.”

“We’re expecting a very big turn out in anticipation of a good day out.

“Things are growing and that’s been proven with the support over the last few years.”

On a slightly less positive note David added: “The weather forecast is for showers so umbrellas will be needed.”

He added: “Lurgan District wish everyone a happy and peaceful Twelfth of July and assure the community we continue to work hard to make this celebration as peaceful and as best we can for the good relations that exist in the town.”

Tickets for buses on the Twelfth and Thirteenth are available on the day by contacting any member of the Orange or Black.

Meanwhile several local lodges are set to enjoy the colour and pageantry of the County Down demonstration in Gilford.
