Arrest warrant issued for man

An arrest warrant was issued last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for a Lurgan man who did not turn up to answer a breach of a court order.

Lawrence McVeigh (18), Lurgantarry, had been made the subject of a community service order last year.

But he failed to turn up for appointments and the probation service last Friday asked the court to revoke the order. McVeigh did not appear in court.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said the defendant had not done any hours of the community service order.

He issued an arrest warrant to have McVeigh brought to court for sentencing.
