Arrests after armed robbery

Two men aged 26 and 24 were arrested last Thursday evening in connection with an armed robbery at a licenced premises in the Railway Road area of Lisburn.

The robbery occurred at approximately 6.45pm.

A man armed with a knife entered the premises and made off with a sum of money and cigarettes. No-one was injured in the incident.

Two men were arrested a short time later. The 26 year old man remains in custody at this time assisting police with their enquiries.

The 24 year old man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
