Arrests after Moira stabbing

A 36 year old woman and a 21 year old man have been arrested following the assault of a man that occurred in the early hours of Monday 11 January in the Manor Court area of Moira.

At approximately 2.10am police received a report that a 54 year old man had been stabbed in a house.

He was been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

His condition is currently described as being serious but stable.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: “Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this assault are ongoing at this time.

“The two people were arrested at the house and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
