Arson attack on house in Lisburn

Detectives are appealing for information following an arson attack at a house in the Hancock Street area of Lisburn last night, Saturday, 27 August.

Police received a report at approximately 10.30pm that a sofa had been set on fire at the rear of the house. Scorch damage was caused to the property.

A male was in the property at the time, however he was not injured as a result of this fire.

NIFRS were in attendance at the scene.

Detective Constable O’Neill would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Lisburn on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1621 27/08/16.
