Fifteen artists will be ‘strutting their stuff’ painting pictures, throwing and decorating pots, making jewellery, crafting cards, working with textiles, making glass beads and a lot more.

“I have felt for a while that some people can find art galleries intimidating,” said Felicity, herself a ceramic artist, who is organising the event at her home, which used to be the venue for Temple Auctions.

“As I have the premises – a large car park and outbuildings converted into studios I decided to host an informal occasion involving professional artists where people can come and observe art in the actual making.

“Watching a piece of art emerge is always a magical experience. And, if you have met the artist, the piece can have a special significance. ”

The event will be held at 133 Carryduff Road, Lisburn BT27 6YL from 11am until 6.30pm.
