Artistic opportunity under an expert's eye

ARTISTS of all levels of experience enjoyed a most informative three-day watecolour painting workshop by popular artist Paul Holmes in the Londonderry Arms Hotel, Carnlough.

A large group of both experienced artists and those new to watercolour painting attended the workshop.

An unexpected surprise for everyone on the opening night was a short appearance at the workshop by renowned artist Hector McDonnell, the son of the 13th Earl of Antrim and associate of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts. His admirable piece of advice to all the participants was to “keep at it” which received a warm round of applause.
