Artists raise funds for children's hospice

MEMBERS of Invermore Art Society enjoyed a successful annual exhibition, held over three days in Dixon Hall, Drains Bay.

Margaret Fleck's donation of a painting helped raise 500 for Downtown Cash for Kids in aid of the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice. The painting was won by Christine Gray.

The club also donated catalogue fees to the same charity.

Well-known local artist Paul Holmes opened the exhibition and also judged the best painting and runner-up, with awards going to Joan Ross Vening and Margaret Hanvey respectively.

See this week's paper for photos from the exhibition.
