Arts and Craft Fair in Limavady

Limavady Community Network will be holding a Fundraising Arts and Craft Fair on Friday, 15 November from 3-9pm at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.

Local community groups will have stalls of beautiful Arts & Crafts along with cakes, buns and all things sweet. An all-day café will also be available at the event, so you can drop in, have a cuppa and a cake and browse through the fine crafts.

There will also be musical entertainment and a raffle every half hour! Mayor Gerry Mullan will be providing a pottery demonstration and donating a picture for the raffle.

Limavady Community Network has been operating for two years and is growing in strength, community groups come together on a collective basis alternating around the Borough to share information, network and prepare for the restructuring of Council.

Catherine Farrimond, Community Development Officer, commented, “The Fundraising Fair was an idea that a few members came up with and I am delighted that we are pursuing it. It gives an opportunity for local groups to display their crafts and also generates funding for the Network along with raising the profile and supporting the community sector.

“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, making cakes, volunteering, collecting items for the raffle and promoting the Fair. We look forward to seeing you all!”

Please come along and support the Network, all profits made will go back to the Network to be shared among the community groups who offer and provide an excellent service to local people in the Borough. The event is open to everyone and is a great opportunity to get those early Christmas presents.

If any other groups are keen to have a stall or to help out on the day please contact Catherine on 777 60311.
