Asda Coleraine raises £40k for NI Hospice

ASDA Coleraine is celebrating following the announcement that they have raised a weighty £40,000 for the Northern Ireland Hospice since April after an extensive fundraising campaign across all 16 NI Asda stores.

The supermarket’s newly appointed Community Life Champions, including Asda Coleraine’s Sheila Palmer, have worked tirelessly to encourage colleagues and customers alike to dig deep to support the worthy cause. A raffle for a brand new Vauxhall Corsa acted as a tempting incentive to help raise the much-needed funds.

The astonishing revelation was made as Asda colleagues and members of the local community gathered at Asda Coleraine to witness Coleraine’s Deputy Mayor, councillor William King, present the substantial cheque to representatives from the NI Hospice and announce the winner of the charity raffle.

Aubrey Swift, Asda’s Regional Operations Manager, joined the celebrations and commented, “We’re delighted to have raised such an incredible amount for this campaign and thank all those who gave so generously. We hope this donation will go a long way towards supporting the valuable care provided by those at the NI Hospice.”
