ASDA moves in
SPECULATION that supermarket giant ASDA is to open a store in Londonderry can today be laid to rest - it is coming to the Waterside.
The Sentinel understands that ASDA has agreed a deal to open at a site on the Crescent Link.
This newspaper also understands that former DUP Mayor, Joe Miller has been involved in behind-the-scene discussions and that the move - which will create a significant number of new jobs - will be confirmed by ASDA within days.

Hide AdMr Miller said yesterday: "I can't say anything concrete at this stage but I am hopeful that there will be a positive announcement very shortly."
No one at ASDA was available for comment but it is believed the firm was looking at a number of potential sites in the Derry City Council area.
