Ashers Bakery add perfect ingredient to Hospice Walk

The popular walking event which attracts hundreds of people each year will take place on Saturday 31st March and will start at 10am on Portstewart Strand.

The Portstewart Hospice Walk offers participants the chance to step into Spring and enjoy some amazing scenic coastal views.

Welcoming the partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice Rachel McGuigan, from Ashers Baking Company said: “We have always been aware of the fantastic care that hospice nurses provide to families across the Province and we are really looking forward to the walk at Portstewart. Ashers Baking Company encourages everyone to step out and take part with us on Saturday 31st March where we will be providing Ashers goodies and refreshments.”

Speaking of the importance of the Hospice Walk, Events Manager for NI Hospice, Joanna Pawson said: “The 2012 walk needs to raise £180,000 to ensure that every family coping with a serious illness gets the help that they need. Every pound raised or donated will make a difference. This year we are delighted to welcome Ashers Baking Company on board, and look forward to our Portstewart walk being bigger and better than ever!”
