Asian Over 50s Clubenjoy ‘Landmarks’

Members of Coleraine’s vibrant Asian Over 50 Club have taken part in the Community Arts Partnership’s ‘Landmarks’ project based in Killowen Church Hall, Coleraine.

Over the course of five weeks the enthusiastic members were supported to develop their artistic side by artist Rosalind Lowry of the Braid Arts Centre, Ballymena.

The purpose of the project was to develop a piece of artwork which would make their group more ‘visible’ in the local area.

The lovely ladies who took part thoroughly enjoyed themselves and designed a wooden wall hanging to be used in their many celebrations throughout the year including Diwali ‘The festival of Light.’

The group gets together every two weeks to socialise and share wonderful Asian food, they are focussed on being active and happy in later life. For more information contact Bronagh at Causeway Ethnic Minority Support Project on 07593130700.
