Assault

At around 5.20pm, a 16-year-old male was approached by four unknown males on top of the City Walls at New Gate near the Fountain. Two of the males then attacked the victim by kicking him in the chest and punching him in the face.

The assailants are described as being around 16 years of age. One was stocky build with medium length, straight hair, dyed a reddish/purple colour. He was wearing a light blue coloured Adidas zip-up tracksuit top with dark blue stripes on the sleeves and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms. The second male is described as being a young skinny male, wearing a black peaked cap with a pattern on the sides.

Police are treating this as a hate crime and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or can help identify the culprits.
