Assault appeal
POLICE have just issued an appeal for witnesses following an assault in Clonmeen last month.
At around 1.30am on Saturday, August 14, a man was making his way home when he was attacked by up to three unknown young men.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to head and facial injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the attack or who has any information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
