At last - a new look for town centre!

FIRM evidence that Ballymoney town centre is at last moving towards a new look has come with the launch of an initiative aimed at regenerating some 22 vacant or underused buildings.

The Town Hall was the venue for the launch of the Townscape Heritage Initiative with representatives from The Heritage Lottery, Chamber of Commerce, councillors and business and community present to hear the announcement of a total of £2.5million funding package for three designated areas in High Street, Main Street and Victoria Street.

Co-ordinated by Ballymoney Regeneration Company and the Borough Council, a painstaking two-year process had to be undergone to secure funding, the majority of which has come from Lottery and the remainder involving a number of agencies.
