Graffiti was daubed on an exterior wall at the Orangeman’s home last night (Thursday)

Mr Duddy, who is also a Coleraine councillor was subjected to a similar incident last month when vandals removed a flag from the property.

The incident happened in the Drumaquill Road area of the town sometime between 10.20pm and 10.40pm last night.

A police spokesman said they were treating the incident as a ‘hate crime’ and appealed for information.

Speaking to The Times this morning, councillor Duddy said:” This attack will not deflect me from representing my constituents nor will it take me away from my membership of the Orange Institution.”
