Attempted theft from Harmony Hill

Police in Lisburn are appealing for information following the report of the attempted theft of a vehicle at the entrance of a church in the Harmony Hill area on Friday March 14.

It was reported that at around 6.25pm two men approached a grey coloured Mercedes whilst the owner was standing to the rear of the car. One man got into the car and attempted to start it whilst the second man was challenged by the owner. After failing to start the car both men made off on foot onto Harmony Hill.

The first male was described as being in his 20s, around 5’5” tall of athletic build with short dark hair and a swarthy complexion, wearing a grey hooded top with grey jogging bottoms.

The second was also in his 20s, around 5’10” tall of slim build with short fair hair and pale complexion and also wore a grey hooded top with grey jogging bottoms.

Police would ask anyone with any information which may be of assistance to contact Lisburn CID on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimesatoppers on 0800 555 111.
