Audrey Wales re-elected Ballymena Mayor
DUP Councillor Audrey Wales MBE has been re-elected Mayor of Ballymena.
She was elected First Citizen once again at Monday night’s (June 2) annual general meeting of the Borough Council and will be the last ever Mayor of Ballymena, filling the position until March 31, 2015, after which the new Mid and East Antrim council will take over from the Ballymena, Larne and Carrickfergus local authorities.
Fellow DUP Councillor Hubert Nicholl was elected Deputy Mayor.
There were no other nominees for either position.
