Austin's Christmas windows come to life

The Austins Department Store windows Christmas display was unveiled to the public on Friday, December 9 delighting both adults and children alike.

The display is part of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Wonder Windows Winter Wonderland initiative and is led by local theatre company In Your Space.

The initiative will see some of the city’s most prominent shop fronts brought to life with performances, colours and animations.

The Austins windows will be open on the following dates and times in the run up to Christmas: Saturday, December 10 from 5pm – 7pm. Thursday 15, Friday 16 and Sunday, December 17 from 5pm – 7pm; Thursday, December 22 and Friday, December 23 from 5pm – 7pm.

Visit the Londonderry Window where you will be transported back to the Victorian era when traditional carol singers will sprinkle Christmas spirit and bring new life to toys. Thursday, December 15, Friday 16 and Sunday, December 17 from 5pm – 7pm
