'˜Austin's has closed because there's little money in the town'

“It is a symptom of the continuing decline of Derry and the North West, which hasn’t been halted over the lifetime of the last Assembly,” he said.

“One of the main reasons that Austin’s has closed is that there is little money in the town, wages for the vast majority are too low to allow them buy anything but essentials.

“Public investment has to be part of the solution or we will see further closures of local businesses over the coming months and years,” he said.
