Autojumble & bike Show will boost Cancer Research

BALLYMENA'S renowned Classic Bike Show and Autojumble will be held on Friday, October 22, and Saturday, October 23, in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre.

This is the 25th year David Pattison has organized Bike Shows and the Ballymena Autojumbles for Charity and this will be his final event as retirement beckons.

A very exciting once in a lifetime final show is being organized with a large number of past and present motorcycling personalities attending.

So far the sensational entry includes past six times world champion Jim Redman, Ralph Bryans, Sammy Miller M.B.E. with his fabulous Museum Motorcycles-1957 4 Cyl., Gilera and 1950 Bicilindrical Moto Guzzi, and Brian Crighton with four ex works Rotary Nortons from the National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham.

The event will also have one of the seven only manufactured fantastic Honda 6’s and ex works MV3, Bernard Saunders bringing four fantastic bikes including, from the National Motor Museum, the ex Works Honda on which Mike Hailwood won the World Championship.

The organisers have also been promised Roger Marshall’s BSB winning motorcycle and James Whitham’s British championship winning bike.plus many many more.

Local stars will also be attending e.g. The Dunlop Bros., Laverty Bros., and Jonathan Rea and they will be having some very interesting and entertaining chats over the two days.

All the great Classic and Vintage Marques will be well represented and will include the best Japanese Classics and the best British Vintage and Classic machines.

The famous Autojumble will be a feature of the Show with leading traders entered from the Mainland, Eire and locally.

The great Villiers Services Stall who supply everything for that popular two-stroke and also recondition engines at very low cost.

Said David: “Again, we are pleased to have the great Kidderminster Motorcycle stall, Grin’s superb Triumph parts stall plus other Mainland and local stallholders. Again we are having the Dunlop Tractor Spares Stall to cater for all tractor enthusiasts.

“A free stall is being offered to anyone who for the first time would want to clear out their shed/garage of old motorcycle, car or tractor parts. This offer is only open to those who have not previously entered an Autojumble and strictly no ‘boot sale’ goods.

“In past years we have had some great stalls entered by enthusiasts doing shed clearances”.

Everyone is invited to come along and support this great once in a lifetime Show and Autojumble Admission 5.

Full catering facilities will be available at the event which runs from 5.30-9.30pm on the Friday and 9.15am-3.30pm on Saturday.

Last year a grand total of 5012 was raised and this time round all money raised after expenses will be going again to David’s chosen charity - Cancer Research UK.
