Award to boosttalent ambitions

Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee’s Young Artist of the Year Award 2014 is designed to help young talent working in visual art, theatre, performance art, music, dance or literature to boost their careers as working
artists.

The fund, run in partnership with Lisburn City Council and ISLAND Arts Centre, supports individuals aged 16 to 25 with a bursary of £1000, to support arts projects, residencies or approved study, over and above full–time second or third level
education.

The award may also cover the purchase of specialised equipment/materials or to cover travel and attendance at arts events outside of Northern
Ireland.

The award body is looking for young talent who can demonstrate how the bursary will help develop their creative practice and take their work to the next
level.
