Back in time in Ballytober

Ballytober is making an exhiition of itself...but for all the right reasons!

The school is hosting a display of memorabilia from past and present to celebrate its 50th anniversary on the current site. The original school was built on the other side of the road in either 1818 or 1823 according to old records. It then moved across the road to the “new” school in September 1962. This year there have been even more changes, with an extension being added, doubling the size of the original school building…..quite a 50th birthday present!

The exhibition is being held in the school on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th June and will be open from 5-9pm. Past pupils, staff, neighbours and friends of the school are heartily invited to come along and take a trip down memory lane.

Staff are currently setting up “Friends of Ballytober” and hope to meet a good number of past pupils, parents and staff on both evenings. You will be invited to leave contact details with them to ensure you are asked along to future events.
