Bail application turned down

A 25-YEAR-old Craigavon man had his bail application turned down when he appeared via video link at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday.

Christopher Barry Carlisle, of Lakeview Court, is charged with criminal damage to a car on January 18.

A Crown lawyer said police were opposing bail, and a PSNI officer told the court Carlisle matched the description of the person who caused the damage.

In cross-examination, the witness said Carlisle had been arrested in the rear garden of a house in Enniskeen.

After hearing defence submissions, District Judge Alan White, said he was refusing bail because of a risk of further offences being committed.

He remanded Carlisle to the Magistrates Court on February 26, by video link.
