Ballievey ladies hear about family'¨apple business
The President of Ballievey Women's Institute, Anne Martin, welcomed Helen Troughton from Bramley Apple country in County Armagh to the recent meeting of the group.
Helen regaled the ladies with the history of her family business called ‘From Blossom to Bottle’.
This was a very interesting story of the ups and downs they encountered before they were able to produce their own brand of Cider.
The vote of thanks was given by Hester Martin.
The competition ‘A Dressed Apple’ was won by Mairead Woods, in second place was Linda Woods.
The ballot was won by Joan Moore.
The evening closed with the singing of ‘A Countrywoman’s Song’.
