Ballyboley Pipe Band appeal

Ballyboley Pipe Band is seeking to recruit talented individuals from the borough.

The band is hoping to increase its numbers in anticipation of its centenary year, and leave a legacy for future generations.

So if you are feeling particularly energetic and love the skirl of pipes or the sound of drums, why not pop along to band practice on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm?

In addition, anyone who has any historical information on the band such as anecdotes, photographs or newspaper clippings is asked to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the band said: “So far, the response has been wonderful, but we are sure that there is more out there.
