Ballycarry’s war record
THE Second World War was the topical subject for the quarterly meeting of Templecorran Historical Society last week.
Vice-chairman Roy Marsden welcomed the guest speaker, Dr. David Hume, who outlined the background to the conflict and detailed individuals who were involved, including several from the local area, highlighting the important role which Northern Ireland played. A photograph from the community archive of the Ballycarry Home Guard generated much interest.
