Ballycastle Concern 24 hour fast appeal

Ballycastle Concern Group volunteers will take to the streets of Ballycastle for the Annual Concern 24 Hour Fast on Saturday 8th December.

Funds raised throughout the year are filtered directly to the most deserving areas within the work of Concern abroad.

The Concern Thrift Shop which is located at 61 Castle Street, Ballycastle, continues to be a popular retail outlet attracting more and more customers.

A spokesperson explained: “We are open to the public Mon – Sat 10am to 4pm daily where all donations are gratefully received. Our motto is “Everything donated generates cash” - all donations of good clean, wearable clothing and small household items, gratefully received.

“We were delighted to warmly welcome new members and appreciate new faces and new blood in our long-established group. We are always open to suggestions and ideas and we, as a group, strive to improve the lives of the suffering people of the Third World.

“We could not exist without the continued support and encouragement of the general public and again we thanks everyone throughout the area of Moyle and indeed further a field, who have supported our group in any way.”
