Ballycastle 'could be coming out of the dark ages' says campaigner

ONE of the many people campaigning to have Tesco open a new store in Ballycastle says the town could be "coming out of the dark ages."

Taxi driver, Martin McCormick, was speaking after a meeting with North Antrim Sinn Fein MLA, Daithi McKay, outside the possible new site for Tesco on the Leyland Road. (pictured).

Mr. McCormick says he his hopeful of a decision from the planners soon.

“With the opening of a new petrol station by Henderson’s in Castle Street, it looks like Ballycastle is coming out of the dark ages and the local people will benefit from healthy competition,” Mr. McCormick said.
