Ballycastle family in BBC TV programme

After a hugely successful career as a food writer in France, Antrim-born Trish Deseine returns to her homeland to celebrate Northern Ireland’s food heroes.

Coinciding with BBC Northern Ireland’s Taste North food season, in the first of three programmes, beginning on Monday 9 November on BBC One Northern Ireland, Trish takes a look at supermarkets and meets some of the food producers who supply them.

The Barnsley family from Ballycastle also take on the challenge of eating and cooking exclusively with local food for an entire week.

Over the following two weeks Trish will also meet award-winning food producers, try the culinary offerings of some local restaurants, and continue to follow a health conscious families as they take on the challenge of eating and cooking exclusively with local food for an entire week.
