Ballycastle & Moyle police round-up

DETECTIVES are investigating an incident on November 21 when a 29-year-old man received an injury to his arm after being struck by the wing mirror of a car on the Glenshesk Road area of Ballycastle.

HARASSMENT: On Monday, 19 November a male was arrested on suspicion of harassment following an incident in the Bushmills area. Police enquiries are ongoing.

CAR BROKEN INTO: Police received a report on November 21 that a red Suzuki Alto car was broken into in the Atlantic Avenue area of Ballycastle.

WINDOW SMASHED: On Wednesday, 21 November, police received a report that a Citroen AX car had its rear window smashed between 12.30am and 8am whilst it was parked in the Mayo Drive area of Ballycastle.

VAN SMASHED: At approximately 2.25pm on November 22, police received a report that the windscreen of a VW Transporter van had been smashed by a brick being thrown by two unknown males at Main Street, Bushmills.

DRUGS ARREST: A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B Herbal Cannabis on November 23 after a car was stopped and searched on the Moyarget Road, Ballycastle. He was street bailed pending further police enquiries.

THREAT TO KILL: On Friday, 23 November a 24-year-old man was arrested in the Broombeg Ciew area of Ballycastle on suspicion of threats to kill and to commit criminal damage. He was released on bail pending further enquiries.

iPHONE STOLEN: Some time between 11.00pm on Saturday, 24 November and 1.30am on Sunday, 25 November a white Iphone 4 was stolen from a handbag in licensed premises in the Castle Street area of Ballycastle.
