Ballycastle Orange Hall attacked

Police are appealing for information after Ballycastle Orange Hall was daubed with graffiti and had an Irish tricolour erected on it.

The PSNI in Moyle are appealing for information after a report of criminal damage to the hall in the Coleraine Road, Ballycastle.

It is believed that the damage was discovered this morning when members of Ballycastle LOL 1458 arrived at the hall to begin preparations for the Twelfth celebrations.

The words “Tiocfaidh ar la” had been daubed on the hall and an Irish tricolour erected.

A PSNI spokesman said: “In the early hours of this morning (Saturday 12th July), police received a report that graffiti was painted on the premises. Enquiries are continuing.
