CAR SET ALIGHT: On Saturday 20th October, a car was set on fire in the Community Walk area of Mosside whilst the owner was in hospital. It is believed the car was due to be scrapped and was awaiting collection.

EXCESS ALCOHOL: At approximately 2 pm on Monday 15th October, a 53-year-old male van driver was arrested on the Causeway Road on suspicion of Driving with excess alcohol. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

VEHICLE SEIZED: A 63-year-old Ballycastle woman was arrested on Whitepark Road on Tuesday, October 16th, on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified, driving with no insurance and no driving licence. The vehicle was seized by police. The female was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

SAT NAV STOLEN: A sat nav system has been stolen from an unlocked car between 8.30 pm on Tuesday 16th October and 7.30 am on Wednesday 17th October, in the Layde Road area of Cushendall.

SWAN STATUE: Police have received a report from Moyle Council that sometime over the past 2-3 weeks a spotlight at the swan statue on North Street, Ballycastle, has been smashed and a plaque relating to the statue has been forcibly removed. Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft and damage.

SHED BREAK-IN: Over the past week a garden shed has been broken into in the Layde Road area of Cushendall. A strimmer, leaf blower and other gardening items were stolen.

WHEELIE BIN THEFT: At approximately 10.15 pm on Thursday 18th October, a blue wheelin bin was stolen from the front of a house on Knocknacarry Road, Cushendun.

BOLTS REMOVED: Police are warning land owners to check their farm gates following the discovery that hanging bolts were removed from six gates on the Whitepark Road, Ballycastle, on Friday 19th October. Police believe this was in preparation to return to steal the gates.

DISORDERLY: On Saturday 20th October, a 57-year-old male was arrested in the Whitehall area of Ballycastle for disorderly behaviour following a complaint received from a resident in the area. He has been charged to appear at North Antrim Magistrates’ Court on 6th November.

HOUSE BREAK-IN: A house in the Bush Crescent area of Bushmills was broken into and a lap top stolen on Saturday, October 20th. A Mini car at the premises was also stolen and it was discovered burnt out at Benvardin Road/Ballyclough Road junction a short time later. Police are appealing to anyone who seen anything suspicious in the area to contact them.

PUB BREAK-IN: During the night of Saturday 20th October/Sunday 21st October, a vacant public house on Upper Main Street in Bushmills was broken into and all the contents stolen.
