Ballyclare road tragedy: Police appeal for witnesses to come forward

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision near Ballyclare on Monday evening (May 2) have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Police officers have cordoned off the scene of Monday evening's fatal RTC on the Collin Road near Ballyclare. INNT 18-503CON

A 50-year-old man, named locally as Kenny Wright from Ballymena, was killed in the three-vehicle crash, which happened on the Collin Road at around 7pm.

Five other people were taken to hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries.

The Collin Road was closed in both directions near the junction of Braepark Road while police investigated the cause of the crash. It has since reopened to traffic.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.
