Ballycraigy pupils get cracking with Asda Antrim

P3 pupils enjoyed taking part in a range of Easter themed activities including egg decorating, finger puppet making and Easter stencilling.

Hazel Edwards, Principal of Ballycraigy Primary School, said: “As a regular visitor to the school, we were delighted to welcome Barbara.

“Time spent on arts and crafts is so important and such a great way to engage pupils and encourage them to think creatively. In addition this sort of activity allows children to express themselves by working with a range of different materials to make something that’s individual to each of them.

“A huge thank you to Asda for helping start off our Easter activities – the pupils really enjoyed the class and all had something they were proud of to bring home.”

Barbara Logan, Community Champion at Asda Antrim, said: “It was fantastic to be able to surprise the pupils with Easter fun and games from Asda.

“Asda considers itself very much part of the local community and in my positon as Community Champion for Antrim I enjoy spending time in the local area, engaging with schools and community groups.

“It was a pleasure to visit Ballycraigy Primary and I’m delighted the pupils had so much fun ‘eggs-pressing’ their Easter creativity.”
