Ballyduff stabbing: Four remain in hospital

Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing in the Ballyduff estate during which six people were injured.

Three men and three women were taken to hospital for treatment following what police have described as “a domestic incident” at a house in Ballyduff Gardens on Monday, December 30.

On Tuesday, December 31, a spokesperson for the Belfast Health Trust confirmed that four of those injured were still undergoing treatment at the Royal Victoria Hospital. She said that all four were “in a stable condition”. Two others were treated and discharged.

The incident was reported to police at around 4pm and the house was cordoned off while officers examined the scene.

Police have stressed that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbings. No one has yet been arrested.
