Ballykeel '˜Sons' in multi-cultural concert

Ballykeel Loyal Sons of Ulster band will be joined by musicians representing global cultures at a special concert at Ballymena Showgrounds on Wednesday evening (March 23),

The concert, in the Des Allen Suite, is part of the ‘Music Unite’ programme, a joint project between the Centre for Democracy & Peace Building and Beyond Skin and is supported by OFMDFM. The Ballymena event is also in partnership with the Inter Ethnic Forum.

The project, developed to engage with Loyalist Flute Bands, aims to provide an opportunity through music for band members and musicians from different cultures to develop relationships, enabling a shared peaceful expression and celebration of identity whilst throughout the process addressing stereotypes that are associated with Loyalist bands.
