Ballykelly bathed in sunshine

THE county Londonderry village of Ballykelly recorded Northern Ireland's highest temperature last Friday as the country basked in glorious sunshine.

Thermometers showed that the village was bathed in a heat hitting almost 25 degrees.

On Saturday, the highest temperature was recorded at Katesbridge, Co Down, where the mercury also shot up to 25 degrees.

On Sunday, temperatures peaked at 26 degrees at Helen’s Bay, County down.
