Ballykelly WI

In December, members and friends of Ballykelly WI went to the Coach House at Roe Park Resort for a meal which was enjoyed by all.

Games were organised by Jane McCollum and Elizabeth Henderson which tested our brains. Santa came and gave each a gift. The competition for best wrapped present was won by Emily Blair. President Ruth Brolly wished everyone a Happy Christmas.

January was member’s night and the President welcomed members and wished all a good New Year. After the minutes and business, craft done by some of the ladies was shown and a talk took place about ribbons and Ruth encouraged more to enter craft. The competition, an unusual button was won by Emily Blair, 2nd Ada Elston and 3rd Violet Miller.

The annual quiz took place and Helen Lyons, Ruth Brolly and Ruth Blair will represent us at area level. More jerseys for Fish and Chip babies were presented. These have been knit by ladies in Limavady Roe Fold and thanks were expressed to them.

The evening finished with singing the Countrywomen’s Song.
