AT THE recent meeting of Ballymena Floral Art Group in the Leighinmour House Hotel Muriel Whitten welcomed all present.

After the business meeting the demonstrator Roberta Orr was introduced. Roberta’s title “Home Sweet Home” was excellently demonstrated and anyone of us would have been proud to display one of the arrangements in our home. Mary Reid proposed a vote of thanks to Roberta.

After a cup of tea the results for the monthly competition were announced (1) Novice – 1St Audrey Steede, 2nd – Margaret McPherson. (2) Open Class – 1st Mavis Reid, 2nd – Mamie Greer, 3rd – Eileen McFaul.

Muriel reminded the members about the tickets for the 35th Anniversary Dinner available from the treasurer’s table, any past members wishing to attend should contact a committee member.

The March meeting, which will be held on the 22nd, will be “The Magic of Spring” the demonstrator on the night will be Linda Lyons. The competition which is for the “Ivan Watt McMillan Trophy” title “Anniversary” will take place on the night.

At the end of the meeting Muriel wished everyone goodnight and a safe journey home.
