Ballymena man's 238 previous convictions!

A one month prison sentence has been imposed on a Ballymena man who breached anti-social behaviour orders.

Robert Faith, (42), of Regents Park in the town, was charged with breaching one order on June 5 by acting in an anti-social manner and remaining on premises when asked to leave.

He was also charged with breaching an order on July 22 when he remained on premises when asked to leave by the owner.

Sentencing Faith to one month concurrent on each of the offences to run concurrently with a sentence currently being served by the defendant, District Judge Desmond Perry said he had “never seen” anyone else before with 238 previous convictions and described Faith as “a revolving door”.

“He is 42 but he could pass for a man of 65,” he added.

A solicitor for Faith said his client was due to be released from prison on November 5 and that he had been offered brand new accommodation which he was keen to take up.

Faith also faces charges of disorderly behaviour and aggravated assault on a female which are alleged to have been committed on February 7.

These were adjourned by District Judge Perry until November 18.
