Ballymena NRC to host new course in accountancy

ADULTS interested in becoming a Professional Financial Accountant will be able to take advantage of a new opportunity being offered by the Northern Regional College at Ballymena from September.

The College has recently launched the IFI (Institute of Financial Accountants), Professional Financial Accountants Level 5 course, which will commence at the start of the new term in September.

This two year part-time course leads to the IFA qualification “Incorporated Financial Accountant” which, on attainment,entitles students to become an associate member of the IFA and use the AFA designation when qualified and describe themselves as a Financial Accountant.

NRC Senior Lecturer Lawrence Purdy from the Faculty of Business said: “This is a very exciting new qualification we are offering at the college.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for adults who are looking to pursue a professional career in financial accounting and a natural progression for those who hold an accounting technicians’ qualification.

“Credentials such as this greatly enhance career prospects and broaden options. We are delighted to add this new course to our extensive portfolio.”
