Ballymena’s Olympic torch runners announced
IT IS less than three weeks until the Olympic Torch arrives in Ballymena and the names of our local torch bearers have been announced.
The torch is visiting Ballymena on June 7 as part of its 70 day, 8000 mile trip of the UK and the local participants are looking forward to this once in a life time opportunity.
Two of the five runners Amy Hull and Tyler McIntyre are from Ballymena, while the rest hail from Magherafelt, Ballycastle and Newtownabbey.
A reception is being held in the Braid on Wednesday night and further details are set to be released shortly.
