Ballymoney Disabled Services Guide launched

THE Disability Team at the Ballymoney Community Resource Centre held a lively event to launch their new Disabled Services Guide recently.

The launch was attended by members of the organisations listed in the new guide, and those who work within the disabled sector in the area.

The event itself hosted speeches made by Kevin Bartlett of USEL, Pat Montgomery of Active Communities, and Sarah Francis of BCRC. Kevin works to provide supported paid employment for people with disabilities and was involved in gaining Sarah Francis a more permanent position at BCRC. Pat works as part of a service to help people gain access to sporting and fitness no matter what their level of ability. Sarah is BCRC’s Disability Forum Officer and has worked on the guide throughout her time there.

The guide itself encompasses a list of organisations and available contact numbers for the services of the Causeway and branch out as far as Belfast and the surrounding areas. Guides are available from the Resource Centre and if you require one feel free to ring Sarah on 028 2766 9559.
